By August 2023, we had planted 71 trees around Geraldton, including in the Leonard T Green Park, Stella Maris Drive, twelve schools and 18 verge trees.
In 2024, we planted 199 trees, including trees to shelter 13 bus stops, 20 trees along pathways (Acacia St, Kempton St and opposite Glenfield IGA), 20 trees in Spalding Park and many more on verges. Where possible, individuals volunteered to water trees near them, but the pod round was watering 150 trees every week.
In 2025, 220 trees have already been planted – in time to make the most of this lovely rain! Here is Anne and Nigel, celebrating the 200th planting:
It is difficult to show the extent of plantings over the past three years. To show the whole area we have covered, you can’t see the density of plantings.
